Pocket Rocketman In Final Of Men's Keirin

LONDON, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- National track cyling rider Mohd Azizulhasni Awang has made it to the final of the Men's Individual Keirin event of the London Olympics.

The final is scheduled for 1am Malaysian time Wednesday.

In the semifinals at the London Velodrome here today, the 24-year-old rider from Kuala Terengganu grabbed the second spot in Heat 2 of the eight lap race.

Briton Chris Hoy topped Heat 2 while Teun Mulder of Netherlands came in third.

The top three riders of the two semifinal heats will compete in the final.

Meanwhile, national diver Yeoh Ken Nee will be competing in the Men's 3m Springboard final at 2am Malaysian time also Wednesday.
